Whether romantic under the open sky, traditional in the chapel or classic at the registry office – at Vermala Wirt, every love finds its perfect place to begin forever.
Symbolic ceremony
In front of the breathtaking mountain backdrop, your symbolic ceremony takes place right at Vermala Wirt on the terrace. A lovingly decorated old-wood arch frames the soon-to-be married couple, with a meadow in full bloom, the deep lines of the Nova Valley and powerful mountain peaks behind you. The scent of nature, the stillness of the altitude and the emotions of your guests make this moment unforgettable.
From decoration and seating to choosing your celebrant or musical accompaniment – we are happy to support you every step of the way. Whether it’s the timetable, the schedule, technical setup, reception or the little details such as flowers, tablecloths and seating arrangements: we take care of everything so that it all harmonises and feels perfectly suited to you.
Church Ceremony
Just a few steps from Vermala Wirt lies the idyllic Bernhard Chapel – a place that feels made for saying “I do”. Surrounded by village houses, old wooden fences and the charm of a tiny mountain village, a truly special atmosphere emerges. Upon request and in coordination with the parishes of Inner Montafon, you can seal your marriage before God right here.
Alternatively, you can also have your church wedding in the valley, in one of the nearby Montafon churches: the Church of St Gallus in St. Gallenkirch, the Church of St Nicholas in Gortipohl, the Church of St Michael in Gaschurn or the Minster of St Jodok in Schruns. Afterwards, you can head directly up to us at 1,500 metres by chair lift or arranged bus service – perfect for a seamless transition to your reception, dining and celebration.
Civil ceremony
A civil wedding directly on the mountain is unfortunately not possible. The marriage must take place at the registry office in Schruns. Afterwards, the Garfrescha chair lift will take you comfortably up the mountain (or you can come by bus service), where your personal wedding backdrop is already waiting for you.
Many couples choose to hold the civil ceremony on a smaller scale in the valley and then celebrate their symbolic or church ceremony on the mountain with family and friends. A beautiful combination that always works.
Weatherproof
If the weather happens to change, your plans remain completely unaffected: we can cover up to 200 seats for your symbolic ceremony – even if the rain starts unexpectedly. Your special moment stays safe and undisturbed.
Even in bad weather, your ceremony becomes something unique: our rustic parlours and the light-flooded winter garden create a warm, stylish atmosphere that touches the heart and sets the scene for romantic memories. This way, your “I do” will be unforgettable – no matter what the sky has in mind.
